Still, Bayard Rustin's legacy as a leading figure in the civil rights movement is little known today, even among many history buffs and within the LGBTQ community. His homosexuality cost him that visibility and was considered by some as a hindrance to the movement's success. Rustin died in 1987, but his silenced voice was recently resurrected in previously unaired audio from an interview with the Washington Blade in the mid-1980s.

Kelly Osbourne is mourning the death of her dog, Polly. Osbourne, who was taking a self-imposed break from social media for the summer, took to Instagram Thursday to share that her beloved pet of six years had passed after complications due to a pulmonary heart defect. Police say they're hoping for peaceful protests when the English Defence League march in Norwich this weekend. The English Defence League (EDL) and a group in opposition are both staging marches in the city during the day. Police have been planning for a number of weeks for these events and there will be an increased police presence in Norwich, both to facilitate the protests and to support ‘business as usual’ in the city.
